VISIT BUENOS AIRES ARGENTINA


Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of Argentina, it is also the second most populous city in South America (after São Paulo) and one of the 16 most populated city in the world. Projections for 2009 estimate the population of the city at 3,050,700 inhabitants and 12,925,000 inhabitants in its urban agglomeration, Greater Buenos Aires. The people are the "Porteños" (porteños, Spanish, literally "people of the port"), not to be confused with "Buenos airiens" (bonaerenses), inhabitants of the province of Buenos Aires which is not part of the federal capital. They are mostly Spanish or Italian origin and the predominant religion is Catholicism. 

Buenos Aires is located on the west bank of the Río de la Plata River at the confluence with the Atlantic Ocean to the center of the country. The city is bordered by the Rio de la Plata to the north and east (Uruguay lying on the opposite bank of the Río de la Plata in the north and the Atlantic Ocean extending the river to the east) the Pampa in the west and the province of Buenos Aires in the South. The city is autonomous and its exact location is / -34.67, -58.4. It has the largest port in the country and is the political and economic center of the country. It is also an important artistic center of Western culture with many museums, theaters, libraries and art galleries.
